A1 Problembeschreibung
A two-span beam with uniform loading is considered:
The beam has been erected as two single span beams with the same loading. So, there is a maximum moment of 1500 kNm in every span and the hogging moment is zero.
Then the hinge at the central support of the beam will be closed and the continuous beam with that same permanent loading is subject to creep. However, as there was a significant delay in the construction, the creep factor of the left beam is 2.0 and of the right beam 2.5.
The bending moment will now change due to this effect.
Section and material may be selected freely, a rectangular section 1500 mm height and 4000 mm wide my be selected.
